Word of the Week (Day 94)

Since words are so much fun, we're back to Webster's Third New International Dictionary and Seven Language Dictionary Unabridged: Volume 1. Today's randomly selected word is "dissuade".

"Dissuade. 1.a.To advise or exhort against b. to advise a person against something. 2. to divert by advise or persuasion."
The rest of the definition is examples taken out of book quotes from H.E.Scudder, Theodore Dreiser, Jane Austen, and H.G.Wells.

Phrases to use: "Let me dissuade you on this...", "Shall I dissuade them for you?", or "I dissuaded them."
